70th Anniversary Faculty of Social Administration A Leader in Social Development and Social Work

A Celebration of 7 Decades of Transforming Social Work and Social Policy in Thailand with Signing of MoU with the University of York. On the 25th of January 2024, the Faculty of Social Administration, Thammasat University celebrated its 70th anniversary with distinguished guests and partners from all over the world. At this event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Faculty of Social Administration and the School for Business and Society, the University of York.
Prof Matthias Ruth, Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of York, a Russell Group institution in the UK, signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Dean for the Faculty of Social Administration, Associate Professor Dr. Auschala Chalayonnavin. Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup, Secretary General AUAP has been invited to serve as the Keynote on the topic “Revolutionising Societies through Transformative Social Work and Non-killing Peace".
The event was a great success with 481 participants, 14 institutions from 5 countries. The guest speaker programme provides an open environment for students to exchange ideas and learn about the complex relationship between substance use and mental health, and students benefit greatly from the guest speaker’s sharing of experiences and realise the importance and possibilities of inter-professional collaboration between the social work profession and other professions.
